Looks like Tech Deck have finally started listening to fingerboarders and including foam tape. I saw the pictures of the TD G2 wooden competition series that have foam tape but these appear to be standard plastic TDs with foam tape. You can see on the side of the packaging it has the name of the series: FOAM GRIP. Judging by this standard packaging and the "4/12" on the packaging, I am guessing it will be the same price as the normal TDs in a series of 12. They'll be on sale in May. Any Americans fancy buying one for me? (I'll cover the price of the board and shipping to the UK)

Read my post tongue I mentioned the G2 Wooden Competition series boards that come with foam tape and those truck/wheel combos. The pictures I just posted now are standard plastic TDs with the standard trucks and wheels, just with foam tape instead of grip.

As for brand, I don't mind too much as long as it looks alright. I'm guessing these boards will only feature 12 boards in the series so there probably isn't much choice if you actually find any. I'll probably also be scouring eBay next month too. Since I don't know what boards are actually in the series, I'll list some safe choices of brands: Almost, Blueprint, Hook Ups, Flip. I'll probably like any of their boards.

edit: this is a bit strange but I have never done the Riptape on a Tech Deck thing before. I only have 1 piece of old Riptape left that is going to be saved for my Soma deck so this will be a chance to experience what it would have been like. I also think the plastic decks perform better than the wooden ones that are out.

edit 2: Anyone noticed the white bushings? No washers on them and they're probably the same as those orange ones but yeah... different.

Yeah, the UK doesn't seem to get any new TD stuff and hasn't done for years. I've checked the Leeds Toys R Us one day and although there were TDs, they had nothing of interest.

I need an American to buy a Foam Grip TD and a Concave TD for me sad
