Creamy Goo too thick? Have your mom or dad park their car/truck on it! Remains grippy but thins out

Not really a big hack or secret , just a thought

Use tape to remove/clean stuff off of your grip.

Want to put on grip without air bubbles? Take your tape, flip it over and put it on a cutting mat, then stab a bunch of tiny holes through the backer with a finely tipped x-acto, scalpel, or kitchen knife, then apply the tape however you want, but before you cut it, take the slick tape backer, and put it over the top of the tape and slide your finger nails out from the middle to the edges! Now all you have to do is cut off the edges with a file! Happy gripping flower

Reminds me of the time I ironed craft foam. All I know is that it made it really thin and it did wear it in somewhat. Don't know how ironing other tapes will turn out so I will sacrifice a sheet of creamy goo to the iron.

i dug out the middle a bit using the nut end of a brr tool, and a thumb tack which allows the bearing to fit snug in the wheel since it's inner design is like a funnel. also im using a slim bearing that are used in dual bearing wheels. 2 down sides, you hafta use trucks with long axles, and the bearings slip out once in a while and lock up the wheels.. but to fix that all i do is pull the wheel against the nut on the axle and it'll pop back into place

also thanks Rob! cheers

make a board shorter with skate grip when you don't have sandpaper
use teflon tape on your axles if you don't have locknuts
buy a small round file for perfect grip jobs
file skate grip instead of using a razor blade
clean wheels on a piece of paper
go to fingerboard events, its way more fun

just cut the screw, glue the screw head on the hole, same look as dislocation/dynamic but without hole in your deck

Buy Locknuts! They aren't crazy cheap ($10 for 6) but work great. No more glue/tape/whatever else you're using to keep the nuts on.

Use the right tool for the right job. If a wrench or screwdriver isn't fitting properly on a screw/nut. Don't use that tool! Go get the correct one, you'll save yourself time and money.

Don't strip your nuts or bolts! Screw your bolts/nuts to the left, feel the "click" of when the bolt/nut catches the thread, then tighten. No more stripped nuts or bolts this way.

Actually get legit gear. I've purchased cheap Chinese decks, wheels, and everything else. In the end I always bought the legit product in the end. (BRR Trucks are a big example). Spend the money upfront so you don't waste time and money on cheaper alternatives.
